Reflections

As we sat,

near dawn,

facing each other,

I looked at you;

Looked, at the bricks,

bathed in moonlight:

I saw you.

Looked, at the grass

and the leaves,

swaying dreamily:

I saw you.

And yet!

There you were,

right in front!
